Alice Máselníková selected biography
Alice Máselníková is a Czech visual artist and curator based in Stockholm, Sweden. Her art practice is centred on the human body in various forms, working with life models and using predominantly oil paint and watercolour. Poetry makes common appearance accommpanying the visual expression.
She holds a BA (Hons) in Fine Art and Philosophy from Duncan of Jordanstone College of Arts and Design, UK, an MA in Curating Art from Stockholm University, Sweden, and studied Bellas Artes at Universitat Politècnica de València, Spain.
Alice is one of the three creative directors of Supermarket – Stockholm Independent Art Fair, project leader of Artist-Run Network Europe, the initiatior of Flat Octopus, an international artist-run collective in Stockholm and project manager of Woven Network Nordics at Intercult. In parallel she works as editor and freelance cultural funding and project consultant.
